Staying hydrated is important and just taking good care of yourself. My first go with Rituxan was interesting and gave me rigors, but the nurses gave me benedryl and they passed. There’s a CLL support group on facebook you may want to look up. A group of people having similar experiences. I hope the chemo goes well.
I have been diagnosed with CLL since 2009. Can you tell me the life expectancy for this disease.?
Welcome to Connect. As you may already know CLL develops very slowly and treatment can keep it under control for many years, which it seems to be doing in your case.
Here is some more detailed information about the outlook of CLL http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/type/cll/treatment/statistics-and-outlook-for-chronic-lymphocytic-leukaemia Please keep in mind that everyone is different and there are many factors that will influence your prognosis for example gender, age, general health and the stage of the cancer.
Do you know what stage of CLL you have?
Hi @rafe61 and @chucky2g,
A new member with CLL just joined Connect. I was wondering if you might welcome her on this thread?
Thanks for considering.
