I think I'm getting good care for a 3 cm pituitary adenoma

I think I'm getting good care for a 3 cm pituitary adenoma that has caused hypogonadism - treated by a GP, an endocrinologist, a neuro-opthamologist, and a neurosurgeon. What's on my mind right now, besides trusting the experts, is how I got the thing. I suspect, all things being connected, that the added stresses of the last five years and some of my habits have played a role. What makes cells start growing when they don't need to? Is any physical condition not at least to some extent psychosomatic? Be glad to hear responses.
