I suffer from Fuchs Dystrophy, in both eyes. I've had a partial corneal transplant and rejected. Then, two full corneal transplant and rejected and finally an aritifical corneal transplant. Nothing worked. I have only about 5% vision in the eye (my left eye) and the optic nerve is dead. I am now experiencing the same symptoms in my right eye but am not even considering surgery. Hoping for a break through soon. Has anyone experienced a corneal transplant?

Hello there. Would love to hear more about your experience. A good friend of mine who is much like a mother to me, age 77, has Fuchs. She is afraid to have the transplants, but her eyesight is deteriorating rapidly. Would appreciate any coments or anything at all you'd like to say, and I'll share it with her while she makes her mind up. When did you have the surgeries that failed? thanks in advance.
