I recently applied to the GI clinic as I have gastroparesis as a result of scleroderma. I received a letter back saying Mayo could not help me, altho I had not finished sending all of my medical records. There was no explanation. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I find out why they turned me down?

Hi, @suehc. I'm sorry this happened. I'll try to find the right person to contact so you can ask your questions.

Thank you, Margaret....from what I've been able to discern, it's primarily because the GI clinic is so very busy, and they felt they could offer me nothing more than the one RX the GI doc offered me here. Because of the side effects I declined. I had read that Mayo could also offer surgery or an implant to stimulate the gut if one has gastroparesis. If you have any suggestions I certainly would appreciate hearing from you. Sue
