I need both knees replaced, are there stem cell therapy being done in the Chicagoland area at this time? If so how do I go about contacting them?
Hi @sadiegirl, and welcome to Connect.
Have you spoken with your doctor about the regions stem cell therapy is available?

I have not talked to my doctor yet, I’m scheduled for an appointment in Apr.

Google Dr. Ross Hauser – M.D. & Naturopath
Does prolotherapy with “stem cells” taken from yourself. (Femur bone marrow)
@sadiegirl You mentioned you are seeing the doctor in April. Ahead of that, it may be helpful to check out these specific questions to ask the doctor or bring these along:
I am not sadiegirl. I inquired about shoulder replacement – not knee replacement. Do not know how this happened.
Hi @needtoknow. I believe @caretothepeople was responding to a previous inquiry from @sadiegirl, not to your inquiry. I’m having trouble finding your inquiry related to a shoulder replacement? Where did you post it? You might want to consider reposting in this thread: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/shoulder-replacement-229495/. Hope this helps!
My original question I posted was related to stem cell therapy. I wanted to know if this therpy was being done in the Chicago Illinois area.
Replied earlier: Looks like not received. Try #2:
Dr. Ross Hauser, Caring Medical, Oak Park Ill. does stem cell prolotherapy for all joints: hip; knee; shoulder; back; etc.
Google him & read site… certainly worth a consult…? Surgery results for knee: not good.
