I have lupus and sjogrens probably for at least a couple years, but was diagnosed one year ago, and am unable to urinate, sometimes for a whole day at a time. My base weight is 125 and my water retention weight fluctuates frequently 10-30 lbs., which is a large percentage. Does anyone else have this issue? If so, how do you manage this? What did your doctor say caused this? Has anyone had their kidney doctor indicate that they don’t believe this is possible, and if it were true, they would be on dialysis? This happened to me, and it has been a very disappointing experience. I was hoping for some sort of tests and medical management plan for this, and all I got was an opinion that this is not possible? I will see another kidney doctor who will be willing to do some sort of testing for these issues, and come up with a management plan, but in the meantime just wondering if anyone else has had anything similar to this happen to them?
