I have had daily chronic headaches/migraines for four years. I have four-step children and a 5 almost 6 year old of my own. After 7-8 doctors, back and neck surgery, with the neck surgery hoping to cure the headaches and failing again, I am so discouraged. I lost my jog on 4-20-11 due to loss of work. I have worked since I was 14-15 years old, and I am not coping with this well. I had 3 doctors on my list to go to. The first Chiropractor, then OB-GYN, and then the Endocrinologist. Chiro failed. OB-GYN not much hope or a cure. Endocrinologist knows that I have a pituitary micradenomas tumor that is 8mm in size, which is 2 mm away from bing a macroadenomas. IF this tumor gets into my brain tissue or optic nerve, there is a chance of permanent blindness. Cortisol levels are not what they shoud be. She has diagnosed hydrocortisone today. I have yet to talk to the doctor yet, only her nurse. After three times of drawing lab work, the first about 7-8 vials, the second time the nurse sadi the lab messed up the cortisol vial, and then demanded I reschedule an appointment to meet their appointment at 8 am to get it right. I want to know if there is anyone out there that has pituitary tumors, microadenomas or macroadenomas, side effects from drugs, what drugs work, and what is the best treatment plan that you have experienced? I am at my wits end here. I really want the tumor gone, even though it it benign, it can grow into the brain tissue and optic nerve causing permanent blindness. Did I hear this from my Endocrinologist? NO! I have done all google researches with Mayo and Emory, who have the staff to treat you properly. Anyone with the same situations out there?
