I have been having an odd sensation with my tongue which is affecting my tongue. Ten years ago I had a
on my face for trigeminal neuralgia. I am wondering if this is the cause of this sensation. I did return to the neurosurgeon who preformed the operation and after an MRI of my head, he didn't think this was caused by the rizotomy. The MRI came back negative. My primary doctor recommended that I contact you regarding cancer of the tongue. I did read that a change in speech is one of the symptoms. I am experiencing that at this point. Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Hi, Jean. You might find the tongue cancer page on mayoclinic.org helpful http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/tongue-cancer/basics/definition/con-20036635. Also, you may be able to connect with more patients in the Cancer group who have had similar experiences https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/cancer.
