I am female, 73, had L4/5 and L5/S1 surgery in the 70s that scrapped out the blown discs and did NOT fuse. Now I have intensive osteoarthritis in the spinal column of all the L and S discs. I also have some issues in the Cervical discs which are managed with a home use stretch machine from a physical therapist. Hip replacement has helped the left side leg and hopefully the right side will have a similar result when hip replacement happens is next month. Meanwhile, I’m searching for the best pain control drugs to use with the spinal issues – surgery is out of the question. Is stem cell therapy possible? What are the guidelines for Mayo Clinic stem cell research?
