I am 81 and have developed neuropathy in my feet and legs. The symptom is feeling that they are cold, even when the temperature is in seventies. The soles of feet feel the floor as "cold." I'm taking gabapentin (300 mgs.) because this is very uncomfortable and sometimes the feeling is not "cold," but t, aching. The medicine may be finally helping (17th day of taking it). However, I also have stenosis and low back pain. An orthopedic doctor has prescribed Medrol, a steroid medicine for the back and knee pain caused by stenosis affect on sciatic nerve. He said it will also help neuropathy. Anyone have similar prob. Is steroid o.k. for 81 year old to take?
