How to plug the catheter insertion site?

PFB this coming Friday. When I had an RF in 2006, the nurse did not hold pressure long enough and I had a severe hematoma form that, which caused my left leg, inner thigh, to turn blue/bruised looking, from the pelvic area to my knee. And it did hurt. Jump forward 20 years, my EP says they will place a plug into the site. I tried finding something online, and only found one article about using collagen as a plug. Has anyone had this type of "plug" placed? I assume it will eventually dissolve. TIA.
