Posted by @parasailor1050, Nov 23, 2012

I have a really high risk of getting schizophrenia… my dad has it. and i didnt realize untel recently that its likely i could be affected too.. living with a schizophrenic dad is not easy or fun and the only thing thats kept me going was the thought that if I work hard enough i’ll be able to get myself a future.. and i do not want to lose my future too because of this. i’m 15, female.. is it too early to get myself tested? i’m scared out of my mind over here..

Lots of people who have been diagnosed with schizzophrenia or have been placed in a pschychiatric hospital really do not have a mental illness but rather they have cerebral allergies or brain allergies. Things that they eat trigger allergic reactions in the brain. Most doctors dont recognise this and they are treated with medication which sometimes makes them worse. He needs a clinical ecologist and you need to research this on the internet. Try to get hold of a book called ‘Coping with tour allergies’ by Natalie Golos. He
needs to try to detox himself and use lots
of raw vegetables and fruits. Cabbage. carrots. beets.christophene. cucumber. lettuce. celery. Cut them up or blend them and drink them everyday. Try a
liquidd predigested protein for balance until he works out what he might be allergic to. Do your research. I just found out that I am allergic to proteins. I dont break out in hives but it goes straight to my brain. Do your research.

Schizophrenia does exist. It is likely to start in late teens to early 20’s. There is no test for it currently. Schizophrenia is diagnosed when symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations happen. I am sorry but there is no test to find out if you will get it.
