Hemilaminectomy and Foraminotomy

Am about to get a Hemilaminectomy and Foraminotomy. L3-L4. Have toe tingling and leg weakness. To be clear, leg is actually very strong. It just feels weak. Only left leg. No pain. Just tingling and weakness. Think that my physically strong leg (that feels weak) is good...means that I don't have to rebuild strength in that leg. Just fix the nerves. Expect that will feel some pain from the nerves reawakening. Comments welcome on any and all of this.

I had a similar procedure. Mine was called a minor decompression surgery. It did help with giving my nerves more room to function. The only advice I can give is to listen to the rehab advice. I went back to the gym after only 2 weeks because I felt so good and screwed up the other side of my back. I wasn’t supposed to lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for a month. The first 10 days were a little scary because I felt the same pain as before the surgery. Then I woke up one day and it was gone. Good luck and go slow.
