Hellow..My mum is 76 yrs old,dibetic type2.hypertensive for 10 yrs.& hyperlipidemia for 5 yrs..she is on metformin 750mg bid+glimipride 6mg od..losartan 50 mg od +Aspirine 81mg od ..5 yrs ago she has silent stable angina & congestive heart failure.& she allways complaining of pains in knees & ankle joints..her Rheumatologist diagnosed her as osteoarthritis with ongoing bilateral ankle deformity(Equinovarus)..insole shoes was advised to limit ankles ongoing equinovarus.but mu Mum was apoor compliant to that.& hence her ankles deformity is more visible & worsened resently to adifficult walking..now she has Lt eye mature Catarract which affect her vision aquity ,the ophthalmologist advice operation..her last Hb A1c is 9.5%..which is apoor sign for diabetic control..her physician introduce sitaglibtin 100mg yesterday...NOW Iam looking for advice for mum ongoing ankles osteoarthritis..which has anegative impact on her life.
