Looking for expert on Constrictive Pericarditis

Posted by @gopsillyv2 in Infectious Diseases, Mar 28, 2015

Hello, my name is Yvonne Gopsill. My husband and I live in the Clearwater, Florida area. Our lifelong friend, who also lives in Clearwater, has been diagnosed with Constrictive Pericarditis. His cardiologist told us to urgently seek out if this was from a viral source or an autoimmune origin. (ANA is elevated) We need expert guidance urgently to find this out and how he gets tested. Our friend is very very ill. We have come to learn that this is very rare.

Hi Yvonne,

The link below has details about the symptoms, causes, treatment options and a few lifestyle and home remedies that might be an option for him.

He could also reach out to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida for help. The phone number for the appointment office is 904-953-0853. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions, and we will do our best to help find an answer!
