Heart failure after AAA repair

There are numerous post-operative issues that can emerge. While the term you used regarding your heart's condition may be daunting to consider, you've just gone thru extensive, major surgery, and your body will recover at a certain rate, including your heart. Doctor's will apply terms that sound terrible, but with some insight and details provided to you, it may become more acceptable. Ask as many questions to your surgeon and cardiologist to fill in the blanks. Try not to overwhelm your circumstance and body with excess worry. That won't help your recovery. I was told a couple months ago that I was in "heart failure" and still am, BUT it's treatable and I can help also. I feel fine considering, and I believe you will too.
