Headaches
I was diagnosed with BE a year ago and have noticed more headaches than usual. Has anyone else experienced that with BE. I also play a clarinet and am in a band so it requires practicing most days.
Any feedback would be great!

My headaches have come from sinusitis, which can be a comorbidity with bronchiectasis. Finally, I’ve gotten the headaches mostly under control with an every other day allergy medication, Allegra. So the question for you is, are there other things that are going on which might contribute to headaches in addition to bronchiectasis? The times that I have had headaches that I believe were from bronchiectasis were when I was having a flare or infection.

1 Reaction@jjudah When I first was diagnosed, and had active MAC and Pseudomonas infections, I thought they were causing my headaches, then I thought it was the antibiotics.
One day, my daughter who is a school nurse said "Mom, I don't think you drink enough water. When my kids at school have a headache, I always have them drink three glasses of water and see if it helps." Well...she was right - I was feeling so lousy I wasn't keeping my glass filles all day as I used to do.
So, are you sure you are well-hydrated?

Thanks so much for responding! Yes, hydration is huge because I live in a desert! I work really hard at hydration but now that you said that I will work harder. Could explain why the headaches are so sporadic.

Thanks for responding! Yes, every once in a while I do take Zyrtec because I feel stuffy. I have not noticed a correlation with the headaches but I will watch do that now!
