Headache/migraine at the back of head suddenly, very painful..?
Hiya, I’m 20 ftm I had my baby 3 months ago exactly by c section, I had the epidural at 7cm dilated. Only including this in case it could be a possible cause?
I’ve been randomly a couple times a week getting these really painful and quickly radiating headaches at the back of my head that radiates to behind my ears and almost the top of my head. Just today I was helping my dad read fuses on his car and when I stood up had an extremely painful headache begin and last for about 10 minutes before vanishing.
Really not too sure what it could be? I don’t really have any other symptoms or things happening to me in my daily life. I have a mole that I’ve had on the back of my head underneath the skin since I was a little kid which is sensitive to the touch?
Bit scared, gonna get a doctor to check everything when it’s not the weekend (in a couple days) just wanted to know if anyone else has had similar?

It may be Occipital neuralgia. It’s when the back of your neck where your skull your neck gets irritated and it’s inflamed the scalp and your face and by your mouth by your ears that all hurts I have it and it’s not fun, but it’s not dangerous. see what you think. Is your neck hurting maybe it is from your giving birth or holding your baby you might be stretching the back of your skull. They’ll check it out see what you think. It’s not dangerous. It’s just good luck.

1 Reaction@SusanEllen66 See a Dr. first it does sound like ON. My ON has improved since a set a strenghtening exercises every other day/. Self massageing neck Dr. Mantell. I use elastic bands
yellow red. Last flair up was Dec 2025. Most important I got rid of my down pillows. Bought Cerical Roll Pillow (I wrap a small down pillow around it, I now have support for my neck all night) It has been a game changer. Still see pain Dr. for trigger shots every four months I am happy I am so much better than in yrs. past.
