Thank you for your inquiries about CuraLase.
Why the name changes?
Curaelase is the manufacturing company which manufactures our equipment.
CuraLase is the company that handles patient care and administers treatments.
Laser Med Center is a subsidiary specializing in treating neuropathic pain.
Why the warning letter?
We received our FDA clearance for the treatment of pain. On our first FDA inspection, there was a reference on one of our brochures that the inspector felt that it may lead an individual to believe we treat pathology of a knee, rather than the pain associated with the knee.
On the second and third inspections, all concerns had been resolved and there were no other warnings. We currently have a totally clear record with the FDA and have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
Why so many closed?
We tried franchising the business model and we discovered that medical practices do not lend themselves well to franchising. We discontinued the franchising model and closed the subsidiary offices. We plan to open additional offices under our management.
