Have a very pinpointed dull chest discomfort usually when I lay down. Not every time. Always about 2 inches above left breast and 3 inches left of sternum. Had extensive heart tests, all ok. Cannot figure out the cause I'm male, age 76.. Welcome input.

Wish I could give you a diagnosis, but I too have a very pinpointed right side chest pain that's difficult to describe. I spend most of my day and night standing, as sitting and lying down provokes the very unpleasant sensation. I have tried pain, epilepsy, diabetic neuropathy, muscle relaxant, synthetic thc, medical marijuana, and anti-depressant meds, to list a few. I have gone to countless doctors, had nerve blocks, ketamine infusions, lidocaine cream, acupuncture, chiropractic treatment, seen osteopaths, physical therapists, had mris, lumbar punctures, and more. After over ten years the only medication that has helped is lorazepam. Unfortunately it is habit forming and one's tolerance to the drug increases. Now I am slowly getting off it, but often I am unable to lie down all night because lying down makes it worse.

I think we are probably not the only two cases of this type of pain. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
