Has anyone's PACs just disappeared?

Mine started randomly in February. I have suffered from anxiety for years. Has anyone been treated for their anxiety and the PACs disappear? Or do we have them forever...

The underlying conditions for PACs are present and will probably be there forever. However, like so many conditions that beset we humans, they can be dormant for years and only surface in the right circumstances. Often it is a stress response brought on by lack of sleep, worry, anxiety, physical trauma, mental/emotional trauma, sometimes even a sunburn or too much sun (those with trigeminal Herpes Simplex lesions know this), new medications, changes to doses of medications, diet, alcohol, recreational drugs, a pathogen...it's a long list.

I have what is called 'sleep onset central apnea', but it only seems to surface after a hospital intervention such as a catheter ablation or an angiogram for me...so far in my history. Otherwise, normally, my only problem is obstructive sleep apnea that a CPAP machine, correctly fitted and worn, and correctly set for the prescribed pressures, does a good job neutralizing. If I fall asleep after supper while watching TV, and yes, at 74, and as the grandson of a gentleman who did that 60 years ago, I do fall asleep after supper, I immediately start snoring. So, even if my now nine year use of a PAP machine has been stellar, and probably saved my life, if I don't use one while falling asleep, that 'underlying condition' pops right up on cue.

So, almost certainly, yes, you are still predisposed to have PACs surface again in the right circumstances. Right now, you're good, and should only think about starting to worry about them if/when they become so frequent that they are truly intrusive and they don't seem to want to stop after a few days.

Stress and anxiety are certainly triggers to start both PACs, and PVCs. This comes from ALL my doctors at Mayo.
Finding ways to reduce that stress and anxiety are keys to helping do what you can to reduce it. I have been on MCC and will always (with doctors okay) suggest trying to find and exercise you like to do (I do water aerobics) and it is a great stress and anxiety reducer.

Don't like exercise, try a hobby. Anything that brings a smile to your face is going to help you reduce stress/anxiety and reducing PACs.

I see another poster mentioned magnesium. Yes a much recommended OTC from doctors. My EP (electrophysiologist) asked me to take 400 mg a day to help with PVCs and PACs. Check with doctors though about adding any supplements. If they say okay my doctors say the cyclamate and citrate are the best forms are are highly absorbable.

My doctor just prescribed 25mg pf Zoloft...an anxiety med. Will start it next week. But my anxiety is so crazy that im scared to start it

My PACs are substantially reduced from last fall, or it could be I just don't notice them anymore. Maybe it's the change of seasons. It could be the Sam's Club magnesium I started taking 8 months ago. I have little stress or health anxiety.....unless I'm sitting in the doctor's office wearing a blood pressure cuff! To answer your question, they have sort-of disappeared.

He takes 2 a day (doesn't know strength 🙁) maybe 100 whatever a pill

I first dealt with this years ago. When all the tests came back okay I realized it was anxiety and they went away. Now they're back , but realizing anxiety is the driver isn't helping .
I've started on 20 mg. of propranolol twice a day, but it'snot doing much...I hate them.
