Has anyone gotten cortisone shots in knee after a tkr?

I am asking if anyone has gotten cortisone shots after a tkr for swelling? I am 1 year and 8 months post-op and still get some tightness in knee after moving around and working all day. This tightness get annoying. I do stretches eveyday.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, I have-just once. Went to a doc in Philly who specializes in revisions. He gave me a cortisone shot into the replacement which helped for several months. He said there was an increased risk of infection, but wanted me to try it.
