Has anyone been on Synthroid for more than 20 years then switched to a natural thyroid medicine?

I am 64 and I have been on thyroid meds since age 20. I am hypothyroid and my primary prescribed thyrolar 3 for 12 years. I kept telling him I was having palpitations and could not sleep. Back in the 70s they tested your t3 and t4 but not your TSH. Well when I had my hysterectomy at 32 my hormones went crazy. Finally saw an endocrinologist and I was on 2 times the amount of thyroid medicine than my body needed which is why I was having palpitations, no sleep and depression from no sleep anxiety too. Finally the new dr placed my on synthroid. I started feeling better. Now I’m on synthroid 0125 and my TSH is fine. However, I wonder if Armour is better for me as I am not sleeping at night and lots of anxiety. If I was on a lower dose of Armour maybe I would get the t3 that I need. I’m just wanting to try it to see if it helps with close monitoring so I’m not taking too much.

I'm type 1 diabetic for 39 years. I've been on synthroid that entire time. I've tried different brands and generics. My endocrinologist won't prescribe anything Besides synthroid. Maybe once or twice have I needed adjustments. My levels have perfect most of my life.
Your anxiety is most likely, in my experience considering 3 of us are on it, unrelated. Unless your putting on weight rapidly and major energy loss in afternoons you may need adjustment.
I'm not a Dr yours should know best but I'd get a 2nd opinion.
Hope u feel better soon.
Everyday you wake up is a luxury. Stay positive anxiety doesn't help anyone.
