I have suffered from halitosis for most of my life. I have regular dental appointment and always take good care of my teeth, making sure to floss and brush regularly. I suspect that I have candida as I have been doing a lot of reading about it and feel that I have several symptoms including a white film on my tongue in the morning. I also can be constipated for periods of time and have gas. I have developed anxiety about having halitosis as i have tried so hard to correct the problem and always suspect that i have it. It is very frustrating to fear that I have bad breath as I never really know if I have it and don't want to be offensive. I wonder if anyone has the same concern and could share a possible remedy

A yeast infection in the mouth is painful. The oral mucosa becomes reddened and hurts. White on the tongue is normal in many people. It does my indicate disease or illness. Often with thrush in the mouth, the white patches appear at the back by the molars and cheek first. If you really think you have thrush you should see your doctor.
See my comment on your other post about acid reflux. I knew a guy that had no symptoms except for bad breath that persisted after oral hygiene. After he lost his voice for 3-4 months he started looking for answers. He found out he has severe acid reflux and had caused his voice box to move up as a defense mechanism. He did speech therapy to get it back and started taking Prilosec as ordered by his doctor. I would mention this go your doctor and ask about dosing.

Do you have bloating gas and pain too? Could be a narrowing that is slowing the passage of food. If so eat foods that pass easily. Avoid white flour products and sugars to help reduce bacterial influence.

Thanks, Katzee, I do have gas, but no pain. Where might the narrowing be, the colon? I do avoid flour products for the most part and try to reduce sugar intake.

I did talk to my dentist about thrush and she said that she didn't think I had it because it wasnt on my cheeks. Who knows! I am still determined to get to the root of it. Perhaps I need to see a gastro doctor. Very frustrating!
