Had hiatal hernia repair in the mid-70s because of aspirational pneumonia. That, together with diet, exercise, occasional antacids (Gaviscon) plus weight control kept reflux in check for over 30 years. About 5 years ago begin experiencing reflux and was prescribed Nexium which did the job until very recently. I once again experience reflux at night that is causing respiratory problems. Had an upper GI done today (11/16) and it, of course, confirmed reflux. Suppose an endoscopy is next.

Anyone out there had similar experience and gone to Mayo for help? How did that work out? @mikeks
