Great resource for learning about osteoporosis

Posted by njx58 @njx58, Dec 20, 2025

Someone posted this on Reddit, and I felt compelled to share it. He's spent years dealing with osteoporosis and learning as much as he can. Being technically inclined, he organized everything he learned into a complete primer on a Web site. I read it, and it's really well done. If you are new to this, it's a great way to get started.

I read "great bones" which had this information, but was quite long and very technical.

Thank you so much for sharing this - I feel moderately informed, but the article you shared is so concise, and informative, I learned from it and now have more to work with. I feel it’s a great source of info and very useful to everyone who wants to know more about osteoporosis.

Who is the source for this guide? Sounds like Kevin Ellis? I've been trying to locate a facility that offers REM testing but apparently in Virginia, there are none. There is one in Maryland but I can't get them to call me back. Anyone have any suggestions for places in or near VA?

The guide looks very well organized. haven't read the content. Like @fcoop2, I couldn't find the name of the author and creator of the site. @njx58, do you name of the person or insitution who created this online guide?
