Yesterday was a Somber Day because of the violince that had taken place in the previous 24 hours. I tried to keep myself busy with projects that I had put off over the last year from being so ill.
When I finished mid PM I sat down to watch some TV and see how the country was doing. Of course every cable news channel had reports on the scene and “Experts” who lined up waiting to tell us why it happened. I spent the next few hours before bed checking back ocassionaly to see and hear if there was something new.
Finally decided to call it a night.
As with every night when I go up to bed the first thing I do is to end my night with a reading from “The Tao of Joy, every Day” by Derek Linn.
The page i opened to last night was simply Labeled “Gratitude”!
One written thought and sentance really summed up how we should we should view the world around us in times like these! “Think about the people you love; family members, good friends, teachers, people who have helped you and people who you have inspired.” “Your connections to them are the most precious things in Life.”
Spend the day Thanking and loving all of those around you! They are the most important things in Your Life!
