Genesight testing for 12 year old
I have a 12yo with depression and anxiety. Prozac is helping a little but not nearly enough. We suspect he may not produce or severely underproduce seratonin (he is very pale for one). Is Genesight testing an option for someone that young?

I did not find GeneSight helpful at all. It has limited test results vs the genetic test I went with (Sequencing.com). GeneSight determined 18 anti-depressants, two of which had previously made me suicidal, one which had been tried and not worked, and 12 others that my genetics study determined would cause increased genetic risk. My test revealed I am ultra-high metabolizer with fragile mitochondria. I don’t overthink the results, but use them as a baseline for whatever I have going on.
I got my genetics test on Amazon (they had a package deal), and it took a couple of months to get results back.
