Forehead HSV help and advice
I have HSV outbreaks that present on my forehead and no where else. I have received 3 separate opinions from doctors. All 3 looked at the sores and immediately said HSV but I have never had it tested. The sores and symptoms are textbook. These sores have been appearing for maybe 8 years or so now and have progressively gotten worse. I can not seem to identify the triggers.
I take 500 mg vlatrex 2x a day. This helps but does not stop the outbreaks. In times of stress, eating unhealthy, or sun I’ll sometimes get OB, sometimes not. It’s very inconsistent and I’m not able to pinpoint the causes.
I’m a female in my mid 30s and one thing I do know that causes an OB is when I wear makeup. It really sucks. Does anyone have any experience or advice on how I can manage that?
I feel very alone in the forehead herpes world and would love to hear any suggestions to help me on this journey!

I have a really strange suggestion, nontoxic. This worked for me when I had chicken pox 7 years ago, and when i almost got shingle. Get paper tape. It must be white paper tape, not the vinyl stuff. The kind they use for wrapping bandages. Cover it with the tape. Just leave it there for several days. The wound shoul heal on its own. If you must change it do so quickly. It is about cutting off the supply of oxygen to the sore. Good luck. Please report back if this works. I like to keep track of my record. Thank you.
