For about a year and half, I have been told by my doctors that my colon does not work and that I have severe constipation and an inactive colon. I can not produce a bowel movement on my own without the help of enemas. Laxatives and probiotics do not seem to help anymore, neither does a high fiber diet, plenty of water, or Miralax and Metamucil. Exercise does not seem to move the bowels either. The longest I have gone without a movement is one month before I needed to go to the doctor to have it evacuated. And as it is now, I have a bowel movement once a week brought on by an enema (sometimes two). Is there anything/anyone that can help me?
