Evenity complications

Posted by tamous1 @tamous1, Jun 9 12:17pm

I’m on my third dose of Evenity. Just checking if anyone else has excessive bloating and brain fog. I’ve also noticed my balance is off a tad and more headaches with my progressive lenses. I’ve been charting this to see if it occurs more just after injections. I know these are minor complications and could be just in my head because of excessive concern.

tamous1,
brain fog is a common effect of hypocalcemia. Evenity causes low calcium levels. Brain for was not signaled in the clinical trials. I appreciate your question. As more of us are encouraged to take Evenity we can find out more about how it pans out in real life. I haven't taken Evenity, but may be tempted someday.

I took Evenity for 8 out of 12 months- got a good benefit before stopping due to side effects. Which were brain fog, itchy rash on scalp & neck, and finally a worsening cough and congestion that was constant cough similar to asthma.
Once discontinued everything returned to normal within a few weeks. Endocrinologist concurred with the plan to stop.
* Oh and Calcium and labs were all normal so that wasn’t why.
