Evenity and Steroid Injections

Has anyone heard whether or not it’s ok to have steroid injections for back pain while on Evenity? I just had my 6th month dosing of Evenity. I’m also considering a steroid injections for back pain. I’ve read a couple things that are contradictory on whether it’s ok or not.

@tr762 Is the doctor who prescribed Evenity the same doctor who would administer the steroid injections? I’m thinking these might be two different doctors.

In your place I’d talk with the doctor who prescribed Evenity and ask the question. You could present your concerns and what you’ve read and ask for your doctor’s advice on this as it’s a medical question.

When is the steroid injection scheduled?

Thank you. I have a call in to my rheumatologist to see what he says. Two different drs. The steroid shot would be exactly 1 week from my Evenity injections I just got. I’m planning to postpone the steroid until I can get a response from my rheumatologist.
