Evan’s Syndrome another name?
Evan’s Syndrome was described to me as my autoimmune system plucking a protein off of red blood cells, causing reds, whites, platelets and bone marrow to under perform. Labs indicate red, white and platelet counts below suggested ranges and a bone marrow biopsy indicates it under performs.
Does this have another name? Or did I miss understand what’s happening?

@beunknown as far as I can see, Evan’s Syndrome does not have another name.

Thank you for a very good web link. Very informative. I’ve had my four rituximab infusions, high dose to low dose prednisone, regular labs for blood counts and frequent dr visits. No vast improvements on the counts. At least up from critically low to very low.
Again thank you for your interest. I’m guessing Sjogren’s and MS decided they needed a companion.

1 Reaction@beunknown, Here's a research paper on the condition if you haven't already seen it.

It doesn’t look like it does.
@johnbishop
My if that isn’t a brain filling bit of science! I have started reading it and wanted to give my eyes and brain a break. Thoughtful of you to send the link of such a comprehensive study of ES.
I will be better prepared to discuss with the doctor at my hematology visit in two weeks, the intricacies of my current treatment protocol.
Thank you. I will comment following my review of the document.
