Eustachian tube dysfunction

I've posted a while back about my severe hearing loss and ear pressure.
I do wear Phonak hearing aides.
I saw an ENT 3 weeks ago. He said there's alot of damage, scarred ear drums and fluid. He put me on Flonase and Azelastine to start.
He did say maybe only surgery will help...balloon or tubes. Both only temporary results and said I dont have to do anything im not comfortable with...really love this dr.
So far, no improvement from meds/nasal sprays.
Tomorrow I go for a hearing test and dr will follow-up with me Tuesday.
I'm likely not going to do any surgery.
I'm very uncomfortable with the ear pressure and finding clarity in my hearing is worse, even with the hearing aides...will see what test shows. I dread it. Has anyone here experienced this?
