I had my thyroid destroyed at Mayo Clinic approx. 7 yrs. ago with no complications for hyperthyroidism. In the past couple of years my voice has changed to a "Kathryn Hepburn" voice. My job consists of talking to students all day on the phone and it has gotten very embarrassing. I went to an ENT and he did a lot of testing and has been injecting Botox into my voice box. This helps for a short period of time but does anyone know any other kind of treatment. I dont want to quit my job because of my voice but sometimes I can tell that people are laughing at me on the phone. Please help.
