Very windy days can affect your inner ear pressure causing that fullness and also loss of balance. This is very common. To protect your ears from future damage you need to cover your ears in a windy situation…try wearing a hat or ear muffs in a winter climate…or a headband that covers the ears. You could also carry ear plugs or just insert cotton as protection.
I wear two hearing aids with full silicone molds and you would think that would protect my ears on a windy day. They do to a certain extent but when I come indoors after being outside in wind, I have that temporary fullness feeling. Wind can be traumatic to the delicate inner ear structure so protect them now and be aware of other environmental factors that are detrimental to ears like loud noises.
