diabetic lumbar sacral radiculoplexopathy

Wondering if anyone has this diagnosis ? diabetic lumbar sacral radiculoplexopathy

Am 71 Was an active farmer, athlete power lineman in my life. Back had numerous spasm episodes that caused me to change careers and do less sports in 2023 I was disabled from this affliction diabetic lumbar sacral radiculoplexopathy
Question, does anybody have this and can I recover? Was hospitalized in 2024 went to rehab to learn to walk and can now walk 1000 steps with a walker and I have a trainer to help me get my core strength to get my balance.

Welcome @sbreaker, It sounds like you are doing whatever you can to help your condition and working on building your core strength and improving your balance. I think just staying positive and learning as much as you can like you are doing now will hopefully help better manage the condition. @dennymt may have some thoughts or information to share with you. He mentioned being diagnosed with a similar condition in another discussion - a nerve condition (LRPN) which if I understand correctly is non diabetic version of Lumbosacral Radiculoplexus Neuropathy (LRPN).

Has your doctor or care team suggested any specific types of physical therapy to help you manage the condition?

I wasn’t familiar with this condition, so I looked it up. I read that recovery was possible. What has your doctor suggested in your prognosis?

Not much really , physio therapy gabapentin diabetic meds same O

I do the rest myself and
