Hi I'm suffering from severe depression and anxiety . I dont know how to deal with it at all. Pls help me understanding the meaning of it. I feel like I'm gonna loose it . I feel helpless. Pls hell if you've been thru this before. Thank u
I have severe depression too. I try to find moments if happiness and try to build upon that. I try to do something i enjoy. Having coffee with a friend. Find something you enjoy to distract yourself from depression. Try and go for a walk. I am really depressed lately too

Anybody had any success stories for celexa or the generic citalopram?

Have you thought about the cause of your depression and anxiety? Change in family structure? Health issues or medication changes? Did you move recently? There are many reasons we may go through depression and anxiety. Sometimes it feels like that dark cloud surrounding us will choke our very soul. Like so many have said, finding a bit of brightness in your day, even if it is a flower opening to the sun's warmth, can be a start. Physical exercise has proven to alleviate the symptoms you describe. Please let us know a bit more about yourself.

I went to doctor and everything came back normal. But my depression is making me thing that I'm seriously sick that I have an illness that's killing me and i can't get that out my head. I cant stop thinking that I'm sick my body doesnt feel normal. I'm getting frustrating not knowing what to do

Does your doctor have you on medication for depression and/or anxiety?

@francisco82 Having these thoughts are most uncomfortable. Depression can cause you to be uncomfortable. Have you had things thoroughly checked out? Do you see a therapist?

How do I deal when I feel helpless and extremely tired?
Answer: I exercise and meditate.
What type of exercise is better to ease depression symptoms?
Answer: Try walking, jogging, running and swimming. I really recommend that you try swimming; you will feel much better when you go out and meet new people in the gym or along the beach. Just immersing your body in the water will give you positivity and happiness. And more importantly, swimming really lets your body move and burn more calories than many other exercises. To be honest, I feel better when spending even less than five minutes swimming!
You are totally kidding me! I am depressed and feeling helpless to do simple tasks; fo you think that I am able to exercise?!
Answer: I know you feel it irrational: “I am tired now. If I exercise, I will become more and more tired due to exercising. How could I feel better by exercising??!!”. It requires a physician to clarify it. What I can say to help you: exercise right away! Wear your sneakers and walk immediately. Go to the gym or the beach. Cannot drive due to depression? You can ask someone to help you or even a taxi. I feel myself dragging my body along the ground to reach the gym entrance! Once I get in, I feel the happiness hormones flowing thru my body! Please do this first step (exercising, especially swimming) and then let me know what occurs with you!

Finally getting physical pain back under control so anxiety is lessening.

Spoke too soon about getting pain back under control. Keep trying to get back to what I was doing. Going to need to take it slower still for awhile. The pain specialist instructed me on stretches and to never force things. Take it slow until the muscles can strengthen.
So fearful I will not get back what I did have.
Yes, pain and anxiety are doing their thing.
Forcing things does not work for me.
Not the physical therapist’s fault. She was just doing her job.
I am trying to slowly regain the flexibility I did have. I go too far and I see little pinpoints of light. This is new.
So yes, anxiety is running rampant with the “what if’s”?

@parus Damage can happen in a blink of an eye to our home (or our body). The rebuild takes time but it can happen. We may even end up with something that works better for us than what we had. Just keep picturing the end result of your "house" rebuild. Remind yourself that the work you put into it each day is getting you closer to that image. We're all rooting for you!

@pearlbaby7 Thank you for the encouragement. Remodeling is no longer and option. I continue to rebuild though. Not adding on or replacing anything. working with what I have. The mental image thing is scary.
