Dear kerri Lynn. We must talk I am on the same meds as you.I have almost the same diagnosis as do you cope day to day? Do you go to pain clinic also. I had spinal surgery but it left me with nerve damage in my leg and now they are talking about the same surgery you had. I would love to converse with you maybe we can help each other. I would love to talk with you. It would be a lot of help for both of us just to have someone who understands to talk to. I posted a comment on the discussion too. My spinal surgery left me with nerve damage in both legs, I never thought it woud hurt so bad if it was numb, I also thought it wouldn’t be permanent, but I was 31 & I thought neurosurgery was like when I had my tonsils removed. I thought it would hurt, heal & I would be back to normal. I was naive or hopeful or chose not to listen when the neurosurgeon told me the surgery wouldn’t reverse the damage, it would stop the progression of damage. Im not coping very well now, I was told my spine has 3 more bulging discs & it is covered with bone spurs. My rheumatologist says my spine looks like I am 86 not 46. Since August I have been diagnosed with a form of rheumatoid arthritis & it seems that I have failed on another medication. I’ve been to 2 pain clinics, but it wasn’t helpful for me. It made me obsess about pain. Maybe I should try again. I look forward to hearing from you.
