COVID-19 Associated Fungal Mucormycosis - Covid D Variant Impacts
Pfizer presented a formal report of 'fungi' increasing symptoms world wide back in 2021 and it was tied to the Delta variant of COVID-19, scientifically known as B.1.617.2. It was first identified in late 2020 in India. Pfizer stated: "Due to the spread of the Delta variant, countries could potentially see an increase in fungal infections—not only in India but worldwide. It is important for health care providers to have greater awareness and to be prepared, especially for high-risk patients. Quicker diagnoses, better treatment methods, and more research needed to control these fungal infections." https://www.pfizer.com/news/articles/the_truth_about_covid_19_and_black_fungus
