Could we have professionals at Mayo weight in on our topics?

It would be nice to have professionals, medical providers and researchers weigh in on many of these questions and concerns that we have, rather than restricting it to peers. Is that possible?

Interested in more discussions like this? Go to the Brain & Nervous System Support Group.

@jlam1950, as you have correctly identified, Mayo Clinic Connect is an online community where patients and caregivers share their experiences, find support and exchange information with others. Some members of the community may be medical professionals, but they do not participate in that capacity. The community is not for individual medical advice or consultation.

Mayo Clinic hosts monthly support group meetings for some conditions, facilitated by social workers, which often feature Mayo presenters as well as other patient events (https://connect.mayoclinic.org/events/). We also host Q&As with Mayo professionals as well as expert blogs (https://connect.mayoclinic.org/blogs/)

@jlam1950, Q&A sessions at this time are ad hoc and announced in the Daily Digest. For example:
Pulsatile tinnitus Q&A w/ Mayo Clinic expert, Dr. Breen July 16 https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/pulsatile-tinnitus-qa-w-mayo-clinic-expert-dr-joseph-breen/

To keep up with the latest research findings, please visit Mayo Clinic News Network https://newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org/
