Collagen and Osteoporosis

I have used different Collagen Peptides products for a good two years. Still, according to my DEXA scan I now have significant osteoporosis. My recent results were worse than those a year ago. Does anyone have positive results with Collagen?

Are you seeing an endocrinologist? What is the proposed treatment plan? May I ask what your dexa scores are.

I take collagen, but the benefits are hard to measure. There are too many other factors that go into bone remodeling. Even if collagen helps bone density a little, you could have other factors that hurt it more. I would never expect that simply taking collagen would improve my DEXA score. It's like taking a vitamin as far as I am concerned.

If you have significant osteoporosis, there is certainly something else going on.
