Chantix recall
When I quit smoking part of my regime was using a patch. But for the most part, it was cold turkey and pretty tough. But I did it and never cheated. I quit because an X-ray showed a large tumor in my lower right lobe. That was in 1997. And here I am, a Mentor for Mayo Connect!
An alert was posted by the CDC on Chantix. I know, I know this is a tough one, especially if you are liking this medication. But I know that you all are determined so if this were for me I would be on the phone as soon as I could and get on something else.
FDA announced Pfizer's voluntary recall of the smoking cessation drug varenicline (Chantix) at the warehouse level due to potentially unacceptable levels of a nitrosamine impurity. It recommended Pfizer expand its recall to the consumer level, but said the company has not done so yet.

Hello, my name is Amanda I was wondering if anyone has had any kinds of long term effects bc of taking the drug Chantix? I have had a terrible traumatic experience and my family as well suffered and I’m trying to do some research on my own because of how extremely serious it was and the things I done, HURT MY HEART today and I want answers as to way it would’ve made me Act Out with such bad behavior and towards my loved ones and never even knowing what I’m doing or knowing anything at that until your whole house hold breakdown and it’s like they brought you back from no where land. My family has some video footage of me and it’s very scary and someone should be held responsible for what has happened to me and my family. Thank You and God Bless

Amanda, did you talk to a doctor about the side effects you're experiencing. Have you decided to stop using a Chantrix and find a different aid to reach your quit goal?
