@arreyprotus Welcome to Connect. We’re not medical professionals, but volunteers who share helpful information and experiences. I am so sorry that your mother has stomach cancer. When was she diagnosed? Has her doctor given you any information on what the plans are? What specifically can we help you with?
She was diagnosed on the 23th of March 2020 and the doctor says she will under building up before a surgery will be carry out because she has lost a lot of wait

Later on March we had and appointment for the build up and subsequent operation but we could not comply with the procedure because of some financial constraints three months later wich is today we have managed to raise some money for the buildup

Hi @arreyprotus, I'm sorry to hear that financial constraints have led to a delay in your mother getting care. Can you explain what you mean by "buildup?"

Thanks alot colleenyoung what i meant by buildup is like feeding her through her vain with PERIKABIVEN 1400K so that she can put on weight since she can not eat properly due to indigestion. and here in Cameroon it is so costly, feeding her with one pack of PERIKABIVEN is 60000cfa which is about 120$ per day and she has to take it for at least 3 weeks.but i know God is able in everything

Hello @arreyprotus Sounds like you and your mother have a difficult time ahead. Do you have family near who can be your support system?
You said that the surgery cannot be done until your mother is at an appropriate size and weight. This is very understandable because surgery is so hard on the body. Your mom needs to be physically strong to undergo surgery. The perikabivin given by vein will help your mother get stronger. Will she need to remain in the hospital for this treatment?
Here is a link to some information on treatment of stomach cancer by Mayo Clinic. I hope you will find it helpful.

Mom @becsbuddy that is what i think that the will be a difficult time ahead but our hope is in God,actually just me and my siblings we are just managing to see how we can take care of our mother with the little we can afford and also if we can get help from any external family members, she will remain in the hospital for now but in the future that we don't know, for now let see how it goes with the PERIKABIVEN .if i knew any other options which is better and lest expensive other than PERIKABIVEN i would have upted for it
We just started today with the process of PERIKABIVEN hope God help us in our endeavors
@arreyprotus, you and your siblings are doing a great job caring for your mom. You and she both look much too young to have to face such a journey. Are you the oldest among your siblings? How is your mom doing after the first day of PERIKABIVEN?
Thanks Mom Colleen young i am the oldest amongst my siblings, we thank God that my mom is responding Abit from the perikabiven we just hope for the best to come
@arreyprotus I’m sure that you will do a great job helping your mother! What are the ages of those at home? In your culture, do neighbors come to help?
While your mother is in the hospital know that she will be well cared for. Your job now will be to get the siblings together and do as much as you can to care for your home and each other. Your mom will have no strength for quite awhile, so all of you will have to band together to help her and each other. Please stay in touch with us, we care and want to help. Becky
