Cadense shoes for balance issues: good or bad experiences?

Posted by brotherchuckles80 @brotherchuckles80, Apr 14, 2024

I am researching shoes for balance issues due to my neuropathy and drop foot. I have read great reviews and then precautions because they will slide on wooden o tile floor. Anyone out there in neuropathy and drop foot land had any experience with Cadense shoes; good or bad?
Thank you,
Charles aka brotherchuckles80

Hi Bob1946. Does your type of neuropathy affect your balance. I understand that the shoe will help me with the drop foot but the Company will not commit to saying that the shoe will help me with my neuropathic balance. Thank you for your reply. brotherchuckles80

No shoes on the market will help with balance unless the shoe manufacturers make them about 2 feet wide.

I don’t think any shoe can help with balance. It can help walking but balance problems comes within, need to find a way to restore the nerves. I have become confident wearing the shoe, that has a lot to do with it.

Thanks Bob. I knew that was coming, but there is always hope. My wife told me that if I purchase that show, I MUT still use my walker. I think that says it all. Thanks again Bob.

I had a pair, they worked especially since I drug my feet with drop foot & nueropathy. I didn’t have no problem walking on wood floors in my house. They were a little pricey but comfortable.

Hello, I am also considering Cadense shoes, however, they advertise for foot drop which I donot have.I have PN and balance issues, they do not address that. I am hoping somebody out there has had experience with these shoes. Best Wishes

Pardon me, allegheny, but I am in your situation also. I have put forward your question also but have not seen an answer. I do have a friend who has PN with drop foot and balance issues. I told him that he is my Guinea Pig; if they help him with his balance, I will probably purchased a pair. God bless you. brotherchuckles80

I'm also wondering whether Cadense has done well by people with neuropathy and foot drop. I'm thinking I might give them a try, as I believe they can be returned within 30 days. They were conceived at MIT by a mechanical engineering professor who now works just up the road from me at UC-Santa Barbara. The cost is high but if they work they payoff will worth it. Has anyone out there tried Cadense?

I don't know what AFO is but HOKA shoes come in many sizes and many different width sizes. You need to go to the store and try on shoes until you find the best fit.
