Brinsupri making osteoarthritis worse?
Hi, Has anyone noticed more joint pain and stiffness since being on Brinsupri?
I'm almost into my 5th month at 25 mg. I have advanced arthritis in my fingers and toes, but they are stiff and painful more than they were.
I wonder about decreasing to 10 mg.
Also the skin on my feet is peeling in thick dry places. I have had dry skin and eyes, but that is worse.
I feel like it's drying my entire body out which has decreased my mucus slightly, but no great improvement for coughing or sensitivity.
Thanks for your comments.

I've been on brinsupri for 10+ months. It really took 6+ months to realize an appreciable difference in symptoms. For me, it has not been a linear experience, more step like. Although I have some osteoarthritis here and there I have not noticed any increase in pain due to it. Then again, I try to keep moving every day with exercise 4 to 5 times a week. Motion is lotion as the physical therapists like to say! But we are all different and would be worth keeping some journal so you can report to your doctor your symptoms. Are you keeping up with airway clearance?
Thanks. Yes I do all the right things for self care, including daily exercise. PT exercises, yoga, walking riding my bike, I've recently been going to a gym and exercise classes to avoid the bad air, heat and humidity. My exercise routine always kept pain minimal, so this is a change.

1 Reaction@ingrid1947 I am not on Brinsupri but I do have arthritis and for me not all motion is lotion. I have to be very careful about the forms of movement I do, how fast/hard I do them, for how long, etc., or I will have pain flares. You mentioned that you recently started going to the gym. I suggest you look at what you are doing physically and ask if there is something there that has changed, it can be exercise form, tempo, length. For me, I can’t make big changes in my exercise routine as my pain will invariably flare and it becomes impossible to figure out what is causing the flare. I have to focus on one element at a time, test it, move forward or back depending on pain levels. It’s a bummer for sure, I miss my gym classes! But chronic pain is a bigger bummer.
