I was diagnosed in March of 2010, had a double mastectomy and started reconstruction May 14 2010 and finished up the reconstruction in December. I’d be happy to chat.
I had a bilateral mastectomy as well, but had immediate reconstruction of both breasts on the same day of the surgery, 21st June 2011. There was the surgeon together with the plastic surgeion in the operations room. They placed silicon instead of my breasts. 3 weeks passed now and I still feel soreness in the operation area, not the external incisions. The surgeon says I should be fine soon. How long did it take till your soreness disappeared? I am worried as I should start chemotherapy after a week.
Hello, I had a bilateral masectomy followed by tissue expanders 2 1/2 years ago. Would be happy to talk to you.
I had bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction also. I’m three weeks away from my exchange surgery. I’d be glad to talk with you.
I had a mastectomy of the left breast in march 2011 and exchange surgery july 2011 no problems, but I still don’t feel right. I don’t know if this feeling will ever go away. I’ll be glad to talk to you.
