hi....I have had severe bloating for a couple of years and finally was diagnosed with celiac disease. i am so much better now on special diet. Another cause of bloating is ovarian cancer. i don't want to scare you, but it is something you should probably check into. My mom had ovarian cancer so I know it is a major symptom.
good luck!

I to have the full stomach even when I havent had anything but liquids for a day. No diagnosis. Getting ready for a trip to MAyo. There are many other things wrong, but I would be interested to hear Your diagnosis. Misty I have had the celiac test done and tried the diet as well. Was on it for a long time then my stomach went nuts again and turns out I cant eat any rice based foods. lol ANd It really didn't make much of a difference for me. MY cousin is celiac positive. SO I got a lot of good tips from her. GOod luck to you with that. I know it is manageable.

I too get so bloated that I look and actually feel pregnant! I have had many tests done all inconclusive. I just had an endoscopy done and get the biopsy report back today. Do you feel full all the time even if you havn't ate?

Hope you get answers soon.

I have the same problem and I'm post menopausal. I look like I'm about to give birth. I don't recall my stomach being this large when I was pregnant. I am 5'1" tall and weigh about 105 lb. I am trying to narrow it down because my Dr. has given up.
He thought it was Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I think it's an anti-depressant I was given for my chronic anxiety disorder. I have been doing my online research and all of my symptoms point to "Cipralex". I have so much flatulence as well that it's pretty much taken control of my life. I am now weaning myself off of the medication and hope I am better once it's out of my system. I had no problem with menopause but I was taking a Hormone replacement so that helped. I empathize with your situation and wish I could help but at least you know some-one else is out there looking pregnant too. I wish you luck.

P.S. I have been tested for Celiac as well and have had both upper and lower gastroscopy's (sp) and nothing was wrong except that I have Acid Reflux.
It is a nuisance definitely.

My family (as nicely as possble) referred to my belly as my preggo belly (I literally looked 7 months pregnant) and my dad often asked when I was having my 'food baby' - turns out, I have celiac. I have stretch marks just like a woman who has given birth but after going gluten free for about 2 weeks now - I actually have a flat stomach and some abs. I would work out like crazy with no results. My intenstines were so bloated that it was just covering all my work at the gym. I had a very open conversation with my doctor about everything I had been eating (keep a diary) and how much - also for fluids - also bathroom habits. My doctor ordered all the necessary testing and now I live a much more comfortable life.
