Back and neck

Posted by @msmcgee72, Jun 11, 2012

Hello,
I am new here and I am worried about whats going on with me. I am a 45 year old woman I hurt my back in 2001 was out of work for a year, I went through physical therepy it was stopped because it was making me worse, I have been to many doctors over the years and have been kept on medications to help me function I have always had physical jobs. I contantly hurt in my lower back and right leg, and my right shoulder swells up about once a month and will last three or four days. A month ago my shoulder swelled up and was hurting more than usual as well as my back swelled more than usual with some burning, I have been getting charlie horses in my feet I went to the hospital Saturday because my lower back was on fire and my leg was throbbing, they gave me a shot to ease the pain then on sunday my neck had a hard knot come up that hurts beyond words and now I am burning along my whole spine, I was told my disc might of ruptured I do not have insurance I have filed for disability and I cant get an MRI done until I get approved they said it could take up to 4 months. I have been given pain medication which its not even helping the pain in my neck im so nervous because I have read avout tumors, spinal stanosis and mant more. Has anyone experienced this type of back problem and does anyone know how to speed up the process so I can see the right doctors.

I am 33 and had such horrible pain in lower back and neck and shoulders. I recently started seeing a pain specialist that did epidural injections in both neck and low back. It has been life changing. I no longer take pain medication… For the first time in 4 years! I hope you try it. It was very simple and it worked immeditely to relieve the pain.

Btw… To get disability… Especially Social Security the disability usuaally had to effect your cognition. Memory loss etc…
