Can you give any more information to your situation? Did you have astigmatism prior to the cataract surgery? what type of lens was implanted? Where they any types of complications post surgery? What was your lens RX before and after?

I had catarac surgery on my left eye on 5-16-11. After the surgery, the next day when the patch was taken off everything was very clear at a distance and just needed a little assistance from reading glasses to read. This is what I was told that I would only need glasses for reading after my catarac surgery.
On 6-6-11 I had catarac surgery on my right eye. The next day at the Surgeons office when the patch was removed from my right eye everything at a distance was blurry. I was concerned but was told it would clear up. A few days later I was concerned because my distance was so blurry in the right eye and so clear in the left eye that my husband took me back into the doctor's office. I was told that it would clear up and that my vision was bad before because of the catarac that it would take time to clear up. The surgeon said "I hope".
When I went to the office to get reading glasses, I was told that I needed glasses for distance in my right eye along with reading glasses. I was told at that time I had astigmatism and would need a special lens for my right eye. Was never told in the past that I had astigmatism in my right eye. Even with glasses, when I am reading, the paper looks off center and the right corner of the pages is slanted to the floor. I ask about just needing reading glasses and was told I would need glasses for distance also otherwise my left eye would be doing all the work.
The lens implanted were Bausch & Lomb, Inc, Dlearwater, Fl 33759; Bausch & Lomb, Inc. 106 Lndon Road Kingston - upon - Thames KT2 6TN, UK;
Left eye, OS, Length (OT): 13:00mm
Otic (OB): 6.00MM
Model:PC Ll61AO; Power: +20.0D, SN:403022016, LOT4032022

Right eye ODLength (OT): 13.00mm
Otic (OB): 6.00mm
Model: PC Ll61AO; Power +20.5D, SN:4101318032, LOT 4101318

I can call the doctor's office to get my strengths before/after but I was able to drive without glasses before the cataracts and surgery, now I need glasses to see at a distance for my right eye.
Is there anything I can do?
Thank you,
Trina

Did your vision clear up at all.? I had both eyes done 1 week apart and my distance vision is not good at all and it was good before the surgery. I don't know how long it will take for it to clear up but I thought it would only take a few days.
